Beginners Too – Consciously
The Gray Spectrum Series does not exclude beginners.
In many cases it is easier to learn with than a classic 1–2–3 gray wash because:
tones are more distinct, so depths and transitions are easier to perceive
it’s easier to understand what is happening in the skin since it’s not “one gray everywhere” logic
it helps avoid excessive darkening, one of the most common beginner mistakes
it gives feedback: you see earlier where you’re overdoing it and where there’s still room
The system teaches while you work with it.

Fourth group – the deepest, contrast-giving near-black shadows

Skin prep – the proper preparation is explained in the included guide.
First steps – start with the lightest group to define the composition’s light.
Build mid-tones – switch between the second and third group; decide where the weight will be.
Contrast and depth – use the fourth group tones last, and never too early or in excess.
Stop in time – the guide helps identify when it’s enough.
